Apple Pie

Apple Pie 

Ingredients:

2 .5 cups all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled

1 tsp salt 

6 Tbsp unsalted butter cubes , chilled 

3/4 cup (148g) vegetable shortening, chilled 

1/2 cup (120ml) ice water 

Directions:

  1. Add butter, Flour and Salt in a mixer and mix until getting a sandy texture 2. Add ice water and mix until just combined 
  2. Let it sit in the fridge for 1h 

Pie 

Ingredients:

8 Granny Smith 

2 tsp cinnamon 

3 tbsp brown sugar 

2 tbsp Butter 

1/4 cup Le Caramel sea salt caramel cream 

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven at 425°F 
  2. Roll half of the dough and put it in the 9" pie pan 
  3. Cut apples in quarters and mix them with sugar and cinnamon (add spices to taste) 4. Put apple in the pan and add small amounts of butter all over the pie 5. Drizzle sea salt caramel sauce on the apples 
  4. Cover with the other of the crust : either fully covered with some wholes or get creative ! 
  5. Bake it for 20 min on pre-heated oven and then add another 40 min on 375°F 8. Serve warm with some ice-cream of crème fraîche like in Normandy
